New Man Dawning_Writer's Introduction

This is my first attempt at writing a novel  I just thought I would do it for the fun of it. How it will turn out I do not know.

The idea for this novel may be based upon truth. I remember reading in a science journal about how man may be manipulated into tranmutting. This story is from an idea I had about the subject I was reading. It seems that some scientist believe that the human race is dividing into two parts or groups. One group is evolving into another type of being. Something if not more advanced then certainly different from homo sapiens sapiens. This new type of man is more advanced or certainly considerable different.

This is one scientists view of what is happening or going to happen: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-489653/Human-race-split-different-species.html. I think this particular scientist is to occupied with physical attributes. Now the article, Is The Human Race Evolving or De-Evolving is more intellectual in context. It describes a theory of what may happen in the future. There is more scientific approach as to what is going on in the human race. However the most influential in the creation of this online novel "Thunder People" may be "The Future of Man-How Will Evolution Change Humans?"

Personally I think that God or the Supreme being created us. He just was not specific in how. At least not to the fine details. Nor do I believe that God or what ever you choose to call this being is finished with us yet. I like to think of the human race as a small child going to different stages of growth to young adulthood and beyond. What is beyond? Well that is not in the scope of this story. Just think of it as a story of mankind growing into the young adult stage.

Well my main character Marshall Storm finds out the truth. Well according to this novel the truth. Remember this is fiction. Or is it? You the reader decide.

What he knows turns his own life and everyone else's around him inside out and upside down. Knowledge may set you free. But as Marshall Storm finds out it can also send you on roller coaster ride. The kind of ride where there are no breaks just speed and big dips with high pitches into the air at lightening speed.

Storm goes from a neatly planned life to one that is like ripe dandelion seed in the wind. His life literally tosses and turns at the way the winds of destiny blow.

Prequel

There is nothing new under the Sun. Well some years ago Marshall Storm agreed with that. Now things are different. As a teacher, he thought of his students just as ordinary types. As of 2010, Marshall's  opinion changes. Apparently new happens. Furthermore knowledge of what is new can be disruptive and dangerous.

But the story is getting ahead of itself. Let's go back to the beginning of the tale. The time is in the early 2000's. Marshal Storm graduates from a state university. His enthusiasm soars like a hawk on the hunt.. Marshall's  girlfriend and his family are not quite so enthusiastic. The most important people in his life think teaching is beneath Marshall's talents and intelligence. Storm's destiny is to stumble upon a world wide conspiracy to keep out of the lime lite a secret about what is going on in the human race.

Marshall plans on a quiet life but destiny has other plans. Because of what he stumbles onto his life is turned inside out and upside down. He winds up feeling like he is in drink shaker. Just when things get settled down in his life then again everything get all shook up. Storm gets to feel like he knows what that old Presley song, All Shook Up means. "Yeah, that's right, all shook up. That's my life," Storm now thinks to himself frequently. A life and future well planned and thought out is now at the mercy of the winds of fortune. Forget advanced planning just think of surviving.

Although Storm is by profession a math teacher on the high school level.  Math and science intrigued Marshall for as long as he can remember. He just went into teaching math because he thought it would be easier to get a job.

The sciences are kind of a hobby with him. Sort of a hobby consisting of reading for the most part. He really could not afford to doing any experiments on his own. Marshall just read about theories and experiments in the sciences. It sort of relaxed him and kept his mind active.
