It is a bright summer day. This is Marshall Storm's second job interview. After about two terms in the service, Marshall mustered out and went to college. Service in Iraq is rough. This is true for even a marine. Marshall went to college to as he said to himself, "Get my brains back on track. I knew I had to get out of military mode. However, it is true, I will always be a USA marine. It is just that way. Funny how I always can spot a fellow leather neck."
Marshall gets out of the USA marines just when the USA economy has gone to pot. "Yup," Marshall as he waits in the office for a job interview. "I have great timing. Get out of the marines so you can be unemployed type of timing. This is really great! Guess Jenny and I will have to put off marriage, at least for now."
A female take charge voice interrupts Marshalls thoughts, "Mr. Storms? Would you like a cup of coffee? We have donuts and breakfast rolls, too. I would be glad to get you something."
Marshall eyes look up to the figure standing in front of him. A nice looking woman, nothing really outstanding looks down at him. She is wearing a pair of reading glasses and a white blouse with a long black skirt. Her hair is a blond color that is washed out with grey. The woman seemed to be in her forties or maybe even fifties. Her name tag says Ms. Magritte Wilson. The smile on her face is friendly enough in a warm businesslike presence about it.
Marshall questions, " Is there enough time for that?"
"Yes, it will be some time before Mr. Black can get to you. Like our email to you explained, we like for applicants to come in early so they can get any testing or paper work out of the way. This will be a day long process. Thank goodness we have electronic grading for the tests that you take. Otherwise the application process could be a lot longer. Now about that coffee or would you prefer tea or another drink. We have several different flavors of tea, mint, peach, raspberry, caramel and vanilla. If you prefer coffee, there's plain coffee and decaffeinated.
